BREAKWATER PAVILION

As part of the Kalamış Marina Project we have designed a seperate pavillion, apart from the main program, as a unique experience and event place located on the main breakwater. The aim is to create a place for public to be able be part of the sailing activities, events and races. It is a gathering place looking out into the sea from a unique point of view. The structure is mainly comprised of steel and composit systems. Most of the building is open except the f&b area and toilet facilities on the ground level. The upper deck is semi open space with adjustable glass panels, providing flexible event space for different occasions. The building is essentially one simple white continuous shell reminicent of a sailboat.
